We have 2 pending membership applications, Tara and Ken. Frank and Charlie will follow up with them, and invite them to our Zoom meetings.
General Topics
All District Training sessions are complete and the recordings are posted. Johnny attended all the sessions, as did Jim Fusco.
Charlie cautioned to be aware of Zoom bombs when conducting video meetings. He also showed us a funny Zoom recording that had one attendee using the facilities on camera. Be aware of your surroundings when on any video calls!
Charlie suggested that we make our new normal meetings more like our in-person ones. We will begin to bring in speakers again to help with that. Also, feel free to bring your lunch to the next meeting!
Charlie will follow up with Toastmasters to possibly have a member as a speaker for us soon.
Cynthia suggested we have a 5-minute featured talk from a club member on a rotating basis.
We reviewed the progress so far on the grant process to bring dialysis to a hospital in India. Discussions will continue among Charlie, Johnny, Victor, and other local clubs to pull this together.
Charlie invited Christine to take several minutes each meeting over the next few weeks to update the club on her plans and focus as our incoming Club President.
We will ramp up our Rotary club branding efforts and determine 2-3 local apparel suppliers to get shirts from.
Support the Duck Race!
John Tata has asked us to support the Ayer Rotary Club in their annual Apple Blossom Festival and Duck Race to raise money for important causes like service dogs for those in need, wheelchair ramps for housebound individuals, scholarships to area students, dictionaries to 3rd graders, and much much more.
